The IRIS Program is a collaborative activity that relies on partnerships between Vanguard Health, our clinical teams, public and private hospitals, and state based funding providers. Some of our key partners are:
The IRIS Program is delivered as a grant from the Australian Government and we gratefully acknowledge their support for this critical health program in rural, remote and Indigenous communities across Australia.
The IRIS Program is a complementary program to existing support services available to improve Indigenous eye health across Australia.
Vanguard as a business is committed to engaging with Australian private Specialists to support them to extend their services efficiently to public patients in regional and rural locations as well as Indigenous communities.
In partnership with clinicians and public health services we have now coordinated specialist health programs for both State and Federal government and in locations across Queensland, Western Australian, New South Wales, South Australia and the Northern Territory.
The Australian Society of Ophthalmologists was formed in 1984 to represent the medico-political interests of ophthalmologists. Today the ASO is the peak industrial and political body for ophthalmologists. ASO membership comprises the majority of Ophthalmology Fellows practising in Australia.
The ASO are committed to advocating for our doctors and their patients to ensure that excellence in ophthalmology care is safeguarded and that equity of access to services is maintained.
